Welcome to Tim on Leadership. What is this site? Every company I have worked with over the last 30 years has taught me something valuable about management and leadership. Since the mid 1990s I've maintained blogs, wikis, and opinion sites for those companies where I can rant, rave, and vent about anything I wanted. Most of the time these ravings were about leadership and management, as I acted as mentor and coach for those who worked with me. As I moved from company to company, those ravings tended to get left behind, only to be resurrected in a slightly different form at the next company. To preserve those ravings, I created this site.
Here you will find an odd assortment of observations and musings on many aspects of software development, leadership, management, and life in the small and big software companies that abound today. Everything here is my opinion only (except where credited to others), based on my experiences.
My hope is you will find some of the information in this site interesting, useful, entertaining, and informative.
